The touch screen also ensures that encryption and management of the DataLocker is performed at the device level, 100 percent independent of the host computer, eliminating the need for any software or drivers.The DataLocker features hardware based, military grade AES CBC or XTS mode full drive encryption. The DataLocker crypto engine has been evaluated by the National Institute of Technology's (NIST) Cryptographic Algorithm Validation Program and has been issued a Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) 197 certificate. The DataLocker crypto engine and enclosure have also passed NIST's (FIPS) 140-2 testing.The DataLocker can be used on any machine, regardless of operating system.
